The Wytheville Community College Educational Foundation, in partnership with Virginia Highlands Community College Educational Foundation, is co-hosting the Third Annual “Scholarship Golf Tournament.”  The tournament will be held on Friday, October 10, at Holston Hills Community Golf Course in Marion.

Registration will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. A putting contest will begin at 12:15 p.m., with a shotgun tournament start at 12:30 p.m.  Team entry fees are $200 per team of four, which includes lunch and a gift bag for each golfer.  The tournament will follow the traditional four-player Captain’s Choice format and will allow both the low- and high-handicap golfers opportunities to contribute and compete for awards.

Individuals and businesses can also sponsor the tournament at the following levels:  Hole Sponsor ($100); Associate Sponsor ($500 plus one golf team); and Tournament Sponsor ($1,000 plus two golf teams).  One hundred percent of funds raised from the tournament will support students who struggle financially by providing scholarships at both WCC and VHCC.

For more specific details about sponsorship levels or to register a golf team, please contact Jill Ross at (276)223-4880 or jross@wcc.vccs.edu.  Registration is also available online at www.wcc.vccs.edu/vhcc-wcc-3rd-annual-scholarship-golf-tournament.
