"Community" is, literally, WCC's middle name and the college takes its commitment to the community very seriously.
As part of that commitment, the college offers a variety of programs and services for the general public, including cultural events and theatre productions, designed to expand the horizons of residents of the local communities served by WCC.
The college library, located in Smyth Hall on the main campus, is open to the public, as is the college bookstore in Bland Hall. WCC's College Events Committee schedules activities throughout the year, which includes special speakers and musical performances. Additionally, the WCC Theatre Department stages productions during the fall and spring in Snyder Auditorium. Auditions are open to the public, as well.
WCC also maintains sites in both Galax and Marion. Wytheville Community College at the Crossroads Institute (276-744-4974) is located at 1117 East Stuart Drive in Galax, Va., and Wytheville Community College at the The Summit Center for Higher Education (276-783-1777) is located at 203 N. Church Street in Marion, Va.
The college's main campus also features a Biking and Walking Trail that is open to the public.
