TEAS Testing

Students will be limited to three testing dates per year. We require a two-week notice of cancellation; otherwise, that date will be counted as one of your three attempts.

TEAS scores are valid for 3 years. Test dates are typically scheduled between October and May.

Which TEAS exam does my program require?

Please be sure to register for the correct exam.

For additional questions, please contact Hunter Jackson at (276) 223-4741 or hjackson@wcc.vccs.edu.

Nursing (RN): TEAS tests taken for Nursing (RN) will be scored using a national percentile score; students must receive at least a 45th national percentile score to be considered for the Nursing (RN) or (LPN-RN) program.  If the student does not achieve at least a 45th national percentile score, he/she will not be eligible to be included in the selective admission pool.

Dental Hygiene, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Physical Therapy Assistant: Applicants to these health programs will be scored according to an “Adjusted Individual Score”. There is no minimum score required for entry into the selective admissions pool for these programs, but higher scores will secure additional points on the scoring rubric for the particular program for which the student applies. Scores from all TEAS attempts submitted for application to these health programs will be included in the student’s application file but only the highest qualifying score will be used in calculating points for the rubric.
