Purpose

The Associate of Applied Science Technical Studies in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning is designed to provide technical training for employment in the HVAC field. This degree is a G3 program containing stackable certifications. Students can earn nationally recognized credentials through the EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Recovery, Air to Air Heat Pump Certification, Airflow Certification, Refrigeration Diagnostics Certification, Variable Speed Motors Certification, and A2L Refrigerant Safety Certification.

Requirements

In addition to the admission requirements established for the college, entry into the Associate of Applied Science Technical Studies in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning requires competency in English and Math – MDE 10 as demonstrated through direct enrollment and diagnostic tests, or by satisfactorily completing the required EDE and/or MDE units or the equivalent.
