The Wytheville Concert Series continues its 16th season on Saturday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Wytheville Community College’s Snyder Auditorium. 

Liberty University Voice Faculty, Adelaide Trombetta will join violinist Kevin Matheson, and pianist Melia Garber for songs by Franz Schubert, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Leonard Bernstein, and classics by Rodgers & Hammerstein. Kevin will also perform the most famous violin concerto of the 20th century, written by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius in 1905. 

On Saturday, March 21 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Kevin and Bryan Matheson and Melia Garber will perform Mozart’s famous violin-viola double concerto, the Sinfonia Concertante, and German composer Max Bruch’s Double Concerto written in 1911. 

On Saturday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Kevin Matheson and Kerry Morgiewicz will perform more favorite violin concertos including Saint-Saens Concerto No. 3 in B Minor.

 Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to support the Wytheville Concert Series and the Wytheville Community College Food Bank. Wytheville Concert Series performances are presented by Wytheville Community College, St. John’s Episcopal Church, the WCC Educational Foundation, and MacDowell Music Club, and are under the artistic direction of Kevin Matheson.
