WCC Theatre is holding auditions for the spring play production.

It was a dark and wintery night, you are home alone; why, when you could be on the stage under the bright lights with a group of people having the time of your life. The WCC Theatre will hold auditions on February 10 and 11, from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Grayson Hall Snyder Auditorium at WCC’s Wytheville campus.

The WCC Theatre is planning to present a popular fast-paced murder mystery farce (pending license approval) that has parts for 5 women and 6 men, plus up to 7 ensemble parts. Auditions are open to WCC students, employees, and community members. All materials for the audition will be provided, or you may bring a prepared piece. No previous stage experience is required to audition. There are female and male parts for up to 18 adults. Rehearsals will be two to three evenings a week. Those dates will be announced.

Anyone interested in acting, costumes, props, lighting, sound, and set construction is welcome to attend auditions. Robert “Joe” Burnett will direct the spring 2026 play. Burnett encourages interested people to audition, and says, “If you have ever wanted to be on the stage, now is your chance to shine.”

For more information or if you’re interested in other aspects of live theater, please email wcctheatre@wcc.vccs.edu or call 276-223-4795. Performance dates are April 3, 4, 10, and 11, at 7 p.m.
