Prerequisites NUR 106, NUR 161, NUR 135, NUR 190 I, NUR 190 II, NUR 218, BIO 141-142. Corequisite: NUR 226. Focuses on nursing care of individuals, families, and/or groups with multidimensional needs in a variety of settings. Uses all components of the nursing process with increasing degrees of skill. Includes math computational skills and basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care related to infectious, immunological, oncological, hematological, gastrointestinal, vascular, sensory, genitourinary, musculoskeletal, regulatory, endocrine, and women’s health disorders and pre/intra/post operative care. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies. Lecture 5 hours. Laboratory 12 hours. Total 17 hours per week. Subject to change.
