In preparation for Fall Semester, Wytheville Community College (WCC) will host two “In-Person Advising & Registration Days” next week in Smyth Hall on the Wytheville campus:

  • Wednesday, August 5—9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 6—1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

These sessions will give prospective or returning students who need assistance with enrolling for Fall Semester an opportunity to meet with an advisor or receive assistance with the overall registration or financial aid process.

During these sessions, WCC will follow all CDC and VDH safety protocols. Face coverings will be mandatory for everyone who participates, including students and WCC employees.

There will be a registration table set up at the main entrance to Smyth Hall. Students will register, provide a cell phone number, and then be asked to wait in their vehicles until they are called to enter the building. Plexiglass shields will be in place at each contact location to help protect both students and employees.

Only a limited number of students will be admitted at any given time to ensure overall social distancing. Every effort will be made to limit contact as much as possible to keep participants safe.  Sanitizing will occur between each student visit.

“WCC is committed to helping all interested students register for Fall Semester,” said Dr. Dean Sprinkle, WCC President. “While our staff members have been assisting students over the phone, by email, and through Zoom technology, we realize that some students still need in-person assistance.  These in-person registration days are an opportunity to assist students as they begin or continue their college careers.”
