After the success of previous “In-Person Advising & Registration Days,” Wytheville Community College will continue to offer additional days and times next week to help students prepare for the Fall Semester. These advising and registration days will be held in Smyth Hall on the Wytheville campus:
- Thursday, August 20, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
- Friday, August 21, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Saturday, August 22, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
These sessions will give prospective or returning students who need assistance with enrolling for Fall Semester an opportunity to meet with an advisor or receive help with the overall registration or financial aid process.
During these sessions, WCC will follow all CDC and VDH safety protocols. Face coverings will be mandatory for everyone who participates, including students and WCC employees.
There will be a registration table set up at the main entrance to Smyth Hall. Students will register, provide a cell phone number, and then be asked to wait in their vehicles until they are called to enter the building. Plexiglass shields will be in place at each contact location to help protect both students and employees.
Only a limited number of students will be admitted at any given time to ensure overall social distancing. Every effort will be made to limit contact as much as possible to keep participants safe. Sanitizing will occur between each student visit.
