Wytheville Community College, as part of its 50th Anniversary Celebration year, will present a special “Anytime” CPR class for family members and friends on Thursday, February 20, at 7 p.m. on the main campus.
The event will take place in Room 122, Smyth Hall.
This dynamic course teaches lay-rescuer skills in CPR, AED use, and relief of choking in adults, children, and infants. The course uses the research-proven practice-while-watching format, and is taught by American Heart Association Instructors, Karla Yates and Patsy Muncy.
This Family & Friends® CPR class is non-credentialed in that no certification card will be awarded upon completion. Anyone required by his or her employer or wishing to be credentialed as a lay responder should take a Heartsaver® course.
