Wytheville Community College will offer its popular Truck Driver Training Program beginning March 24 at the Crossroads Institute in Galax.

In order to complete the Truck Driving Training Program students must successfully complete 18 credit hours of study while maintaining a “C” or better average. In addition to achieve program completion, students earn Entry-Level Driver certification and take their Commercial Driver’s License certification administered by the Division of Motor Vehicles. All graduates who receive certification become Class A Licensed Commercial Motor Vehicle Operators.

Financial assistance is available for qualified individuals. Job placement assistance, upon successful program completion, is also available.

Classes run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. for a six-week period. Tuition assistance is available for students who qualify. For additional information on the program contact Bill Reeves at 276-744-4974 or breeves@wcc.vccs.edu.
