The Wytheville Concert Series will begin its 14th season of performances on October 28, 2023, with "Hauntingly Beautiful Music," with Kevin Matheson, violin, and Judy Clark, piano. The performance will be held at 7 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, Wytheville. The concert is presented by Wytheville Community College, St. John's Episcopal Church, the WCC Educational Foundation, and the MacDowell Music Club. As a community service project, members of Delta Kappa Gamma—Alpha Kappa Chapter recently donated food items and made a monetary gift to the Wytheville Community College Food Pantry at the Crossroads Institute in Galax. Delta Kappa Gamma is an international society for women educators whose mission is to promote the professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. “We greatly appreciate the generous support of Delta Kappa Gamma—Alpha Kappa Chapter in helping meet the needs of WCC students,” said Dr. Dean Sprinkle, WCC President.
Wytheville Community College Criminal Justice students are busy learning various methods to develop latent fingerprints using an assortment of different powders, superglue fuming, and chemical development techniques. WCC is proud to announce that 100 percent of 2023 Nursing Program graduates have passed the NCLEX (RN) exam for the Virginia Board of Nursing. The NCLEX recently changed to a more rigorous test, and WCC nursing faculty spent two years preparing for these changes. Congratulations to these nursing students and faculty!
