Customized Training
Not all companies have the same training needs. WCC professionals are dedicated to helping area businesses and industries with the training needs in each organization and maximizing the potential of the local work force. Training programs are developed based on specific needs, and customized to the unique circumstances of every client organization.
Pre-Employment Training
Pre-employment training is a customized program that is used as a screening tool before hiring applicants while providing skills enhancement training. Programs might include one or more of the following topic areas:
- Employee learns about the company
- Company learns about the employee
- Company's goals, objectives, and expectations are addressed
- Skills Assessments
- Specialty training such as Team Building, Blue Print Reading, Computer Applications, Quality Awareness, Safety
- Basic skills training (Math, English, Computers)
- Establishing training plans for new employees
Training Locations
Using state-of-the-art technology, the WCC Workforce Center trains clients on the main campus of Wytheville Community College or our regional centers, Smyth County Education Center and the Crossroads Institute. In order to better serve you, these same customized services can also be provided at your work location.
