A Caring Place to Learn
The nearly 150-acre Wytheville
Community College main
campus features green lawns, shady
trees, and plenty of quiet spots for
studying between classes. You can
meet your friends in the snack bar
and share a soda or just relax.. And when your classes are over for the day,
you can get a head start on your course assignments in the WCC library or
challenge a classmate to a friendly tennis match on one of the college’s tennis courts.
Students interested in activities outside the classroom can choose from a wide variety of clubs and organizations. These groups include the Student Government Association, the student newspaper, the Forensics Club, the Outdoor Club, and honor societies such as Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Beta Lambda. There are also clubs whose membership is drawn from specific academic programs, such as the Physical Therapist Assistant Club or the Dental Hygiene Club, just to name a few.
If you’d like to participate in intramural
sports, WCC offers exciting competition in
volleyball and other sports. For students who
are less athletically-inclined, activities such as
billiards, chess, or backgammon may satisfy
your competitive urge. There are also
special events such as the annual Fall Esprit
and Spring Fling, which feature free food,
music, and fun. During the school
year, students are
treated to free lectures by noted speakers and performances
by talented musicians, comedians, and other entertainers.
You’ll find a people-oriented environment at Wytheville Community College, where our exceptional commitment to student service, support, and satisfaction are always evident. WCC’s faculty and staff will go the extra mile to help you realize your potential.
