Career Development Services
The Academic Resource Center offers assistance in career planning and job referral to students, alumni, and residents of the service area. The Center receives and distributes job announcements and listings from private industries and businesses, as well as from state, federal, and local agencies. In addition, the Career Counselor works with faculty and staff to establish contacts with potential employers and to arrange job referrals for students.
The Career Counselor assists students in making academic choices that affect future employment through individual testing and counseling, as well as through group sessions that are offered periodically. Students are advised to maintain contact with the Career Counselor throughout their enrollment at WCC.
