WELD 1005 / Fundamentals of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
WELD 1005 is designed to provide a basic understanding of Gas Metal Arc Welding to those considering entering the welding profession and the new or novice welder. The course includes hands on training focused on developing fundamental welding skills. The 12-hour course meets two consecutive Fridays and covers safety, routine equipment maintenance, set-up and troubleshooting, fundamentals of different GMAW processes and applications, and weld quality. WELD 1020: GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding / Aluminum) Certification Training
WELD 1020 is designed as an industry welding training and certification course in an identified AWS welding process (AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code-Aluminum). The 30-hour course covers safety, routine equipment maintenance, set-up and troubleshooting, fundamentals of the GMAW process and applications, specific hands-on training and certification preparation in the 1F/2F and 1G welding positions.
