Provides a method of body exercise to emphasize the improvement and development of cardio-respiratory fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and balance. Refrigerant Technician Certification Course/EPA 608

For individuals seeking EPA 608 Certification.The Federal Clean Air Act (Environmental Protection Agency Code Section 608) requires that all individuals who open a system or container holding a controlled refrigerant be certified. This eight hour, two day course will provide you with classroom based instruction, printed technical materials, and a proctored exam for certification. The course will meet on two consecutive Fridays, October 3 and October 10, 2014 from 9 AM until 1 PM on the Wytheville Community College Campus. National Electric Code Exam Prep/2011 NEC

For individuals preparing to sit for the Virginia Tradesman “Journeyman” Electrician Exam. The Commonwealth of Virginia adopts the 2011 National Electric Code effective July 2014. Candidates for Virginia Tradesman Electrician Licensure will discuss the provisions of the code, review and prepare for the Virginia Tradesman exam in this 20 hour course led by an experienced code official. Course meets 10 weeks, Tuesday nights, 6:30-8:30 PM beginning September18, 2014 . Required Text: 2011 National Electric Code Book. NAPCEP-North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners Entry Level Solar PV Exam

For individuals seeking completion of the NABCEP Entry Level Solar PV Exam. Candidates must present documentation from a qualifying course provider indicating completion of a NAPCEP approved qualifying course in order to sit for the exam. Letters of completion of a qualifying course may be dated no more than two years prior to examination date. Exam date is Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 6-9 PM.  Examination site is Wytheville Community College at The Crossroads Institute located in Galax, Virginia. Exam. OSHA 10/Construction Certification Course

For individuals seeking the OSHA 10 hour card as a requirement for or prerequisite to employment with a building contractor or tradesman. The OSHA 10 card requirement in both Construction and Industry is becoming mandatory in many sectors of the country. Our 10 hour certification course is led by Construction Technology faculty certified as trainers through OSHA’s Outreach Program. The 10 hour course will meet two consecutive Fridays, October 17 and October 24, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 2:30 PM on the Wytheville Community College Campus.
